Like trains? Truckee sits directly on the original Transcontinental Railroad that links the San Francisco Bay Area with the rest of the country via Reno and the Central Pacific (now part of Union Pacific) mainline across Donner Pass, so if you like a good train show, go no further. That kid inside of you, or the one next to you begging for ice cream, will be entertained.
