It's race week in a historic mountain town in the center of the Sierra Nevada, and things start with a roar this year. Truckee Thursdays Summer Street Festival officially kicks off on Thursday evening in the center of downtown Truckee, so if you happen to be in town, we highly recommend you go and check it out. It's a great way to get a full immersion into Truckee with vendors and artists from all around the region.

Truckee Thursdays starts at the same time as our Social Race Briefing at Pacos Truckee -- 5 PM to be precise. But Truckee Thursdays lasts until 8:30 PM, and takes over the entirety of downtown Truckee. So when you're done getting all your questions answered about the Truckee Tahoe Gravel race, head downtown and soak it all in!

This weekend brought some pretty substantial and prolonged winds to the region, and as a result, we expect a few trees to be down on the course. We'll be heading out this week to clear heavy debris and to make sure everything is in tip-top condition for Saturday, but if you happen to be out exploring the course yourself and see anything that obviously needs attention, please drop us a note, and we'll make sure to give it a look.
