Truckee Gravel IS

June 27, 2026

June 22, 2026

It's Monday.

Mondays don't usually get a pass. But this one's different — because in just a few days we'll be riding bikes in the Tahoe National Forest, and that makes this particular Monday alright.

Here's where things stand for race week.

The Bonus Content (now with friends)

We've been busy lining up partners to make the days around the race even better, and a few things have clicked into place.

Thursday's course talk has a new home. We've joined forces with Truckee Brewing Company to host it at their spot on Pioneer Trail, 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon — course beta and a cold one, in roughly that order.

Friday's shakeout ride will be led by Truckee Trails, the folks who know this dirt better than anyone.

And Sunday's recovery ride gets a fresh launch point: we're rolling out from Pacific Crest Coffee, also on Pioneer Trail, with Alex Wild along for the spin.

One ask — please RSVP. We're asking everyone to sign up for our bonus content so we know you're coming. [Sign up here]

New this year, and it's a good one: you do NOT need to be registered for Truckee Gravel to join these free rides. Bring a friend. Bring two.

The Course

Want to know exactly what you're getting into? It's all laid out on Lanterne Rouge. Study up. [Course details here]

The Weather (plot twist)

Normally about now we'd be reminding ourselves how mean the sun feels at altitude — the sunscreen speech, the drink-more-than-you-think speech, all of it. Not this year. We pulled up the National Weather Service models and, frankly, gasped. Race day is forecast for a high of just 65–68º. Unseasonably cool. Utterly delightful for racing.

Have a look for yourself [here], and please pack accordingly. Mornings are going to be COLD — mid-to-upper 30s — and we are absolutely loving it.

The Rider Guide

It's current and up to date, so head there next [right here]. And if you've still got questions after that — well, you know how to find us.

See you this weekend.

Sincerely,
The cast and crew at Bike Monkey

It's Monday. We'll allow it.
