Truckee Gravel takes place the week before the 4th of July, and that's no mistake.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, cold beers on the babbling shores of Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe—these things are always good. But they hit differently after you've spent the better part of a day riding your ass off through the Sierra Nevada. That's just science.
The good people at Visit Truckee Tahoe agree, and they want to reward you for your efforts. Book 2 or more nights through our lodging link, and you'll receive a $100 Sustainable Truckee e-gift card to spend around town at over 60 local spots. Make a week out of it. Bring the family. That's where the good stuff happens.
You must book through our link to get the goods:
If you've got a kid under 18 who wants in, they're in—no charge. We've never believed that cost should be the thing standing between a young person and a formative experience on a bike. Some of the best stories in this sport started with a first race that someone made easy to say yes to.
We're particular about who we work with, and mountainFLOW is exactly the kind of company we want in our corner. They make water bottles from plants—not petroleum. Sugar cane, specifically. Leakproof, dishwasher safe, recyclable, and completely free of the virgin plastic that dominates the sport bottle industry.
Their mission is about as straightforward as it gets: rid the world of petroleum-based products. Companies that care about this stuff are important to us at Bike Monkey. That's a pretty compelling reason why we chose to partner with them for the 2026 event season. You'll see their bottles at every one of our events this year.

We're about to unleash a new mapping platform that we believe will be a game-changer in the event mapping industry. It's been built from more than 20 years of event production knowledge, and it's hard to pack all of the details surrounding what it can do into a few sentences. So we won't try. Not yet.
What we will say is this: it's going to change how you plan for your event, and how organizers everywhere improve their production capabilities. We'll be sharing a lot more soon. Sorry for the dead-end on this short teaser, but the pressure of saying something about it has been building like it does when an 8-year-old has a secret to keep.
We won't keep you hanging too long. But for now, here's a pretty picture...

Spring is in full swing. The snow is pulling back, the trails are emerging, and there's going to be a lot of forest to ride through soon. Truckee Gravel goes down on June 27th, and if you've been sitting on the fence, consider this your nudge.
See you in the Sierra.

We're taking this moment to point your gaze to two additional gravel events in the fall. One in the heart of central Idaho's back country outside of Sun Valley, and the other here in the center of California, on pristine gravel you never knew we had.
Rebecca's Private Idaho is September 9 - 12
The Bovine Classic is October 22 - 24
That is all....
