There are just over two weeks until we head for higher ground.
Truckee Gravel takes place June 28th, and we've got a smorgasbord of vendors and activities planned beginning with a course recap at Pacos Truckee on Thursday evening, June 26th, that we'll also live stream for those of you who won't be making it into town until Friday or (eeeek) Saturday morning.

Same old spiel these days: the bigger tires are better. Technology made it so. Our recommendations for Truckee Gravel are simple. Wear 42's at a minimum and you'll get by, but we recommend between 45 and 50mm tires with fast forward-moving tread and a little bite on the sides for those duffy and loose rock sections.
The Long course, at 102 miles long, is comprised of 80% dirt and 20% hyperspeed pavement. Fastest times on this course are blistering. Alex Wild took care of it in 5 hours flat last year, and Jen Tave managed it in 5:58.
The Medium course is 66 miles long with a 16% to 84% ratio of pavement to dirt, and a record time of 3 hours and 38 minutes.
Finally, our short course is just over 25 miles long, with 72% of it being on dirt. It can be done in under an hour and a half at the pointy end of the race.
Our tire recommendations remain the same for each of these courses.
We have a fairly extensive run-down of everything you need to know in our updated rider guide on the website, so please have a look, read it thoroughly, and don't make any excuses because you've got no fewer than two weeks to get through it, and trust us it shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes.
This year's festival features a bigger list of vending participants and the same nearby activities the family will love. From Riverview Sports Park, where the event starts and finishes, you can walk to the gorgeous babbling waters of the Truckee River, take a trek by bike or foot downtown on the pristine Legacy Trail, or enjoy the Truckee Bike Park right next door that has riding options for every age imaginable.
We're pretty excited, like we always are for Truckee Gravel because... TRUCKEE.
See you in a couple of short weeks!
