We have designed these three amazing routes that feature some of the prettiest and toughest stuff you can find in Tahoe National Forest. Click on them below to study up.
All riders start together at the same time, at 8:00 am at the Riverview Sports Park but follow different course markings which are detailed below.
Our entry-level "roll-out" course is a non-competitive, introductory gravel option that brings you into Tahoe National Forest to two beautiful lakes. It is non-competitive, and you can take your time visiting Prosser Dam and Boca reservoirs with their picturesque views. One aid station sits at mile 10.5. It does feature one substantial, but short climb up to the Glenshire neighborhood on pavement as you return from Boca. You'll see it in the profile above.
1 Aid Station
The Medium distance route is measurably easier than the "Hard" route. It consists of 4,200' of elevation gain over 55 miles throughout the beautiful Tahoe National Forest. It is timed and scored!
3 Aid Stations
The long, and hardest route is the staple of the Truckee Tahoe Gravel, and brings competitors all the way up and over the summit of Sardine Peak at more than 8,000' above sea level. It is timed. It has been extended by 9 miles, and includes 6,800' of climbing. It is timed and scored!
5 Aid Stations
Each of our three route options features on-course aid stations. The course profiles above detail the aid stations present on the long and medium courses.
For the Long and Medium routes, scoring ends within the National Forest System. Just before reaching the Boca aid station, your finish time will be captured, allowing a casual return back to the post-race festival. This has been lengthened for 2023! The racing portion of Truckee Gravel has been extended to 66.3 miles for the long route, and 45.1 miles for the medium route, leaving you with an 8 mile cool-down return to the festival at Riverview Sports Park.
Complete this form and we'll put you on our mailing list to receive information about Truckee Tahoe Gravel.
